The visible surface area of a design system is in its library of components and patterns. The longer, harder to see value is in the process that emerges from decisions, conversations, and concessions between engineers and designers as they build the system together. I'll talk about Slack's own design system, Slack Kit, and how our work is now shaping product development throughout the company.
